Professional Disclosure Statement

Professional Status
I am a coach and trainee coaching psychologist, currently undertaking advanced professional training in coaching psychology.
I am completing the qualification MSc in Coaching Psychology at University of Chichester.
Trainee Status and Scope of Practice
As a trainee coaching psychologist:
- I work within the limits of my current training, competence, and experience
- I practice reflectively and responsibly in line with professional standards
- I do not represent myself as a qualified or chartered psychologist unless and until I have met the required standards
My work is focused on coaching and applied psychological principles rather than psychotherapy or clinical psychology.
Supervision
In accordance with British Psychological Society (BPS) requirements and best practice:
- I receive regular professional supervision from a suitably qualified supervisor
- Supervision supports ethical practice, reflective development, and client wellbeing
- Client work may be discussed in supervision, with identifying details minimised wherever possible
Supervisors are bound by confidentiality and professional ethical standards.
Ethical Framework
I practice in accordance with the following ethical codes and guidance:
- British Psychological Society (BPS) Code of Ethics and Conduct
- Relevant BPS guidance on confidentiality, supervision, competence, and record keeping
These frameworks emphasise:
- Respect for clients’ dignity and autonomy
- Integrity and transparency
- Responsibility for professional practice
- Working within competence
